West Virginia Statewide Historic Preservation Mini-Conference
September 20-21, 2013 |
Preservation Alliance of West Virginia (PAWV) announces its Statewide Historic Preservation Mini-Conference in Downtown Morgantown. The Mini-Conference weekend kicks off at 4:30 with a Civil War Walking Tour of Downtown Morgantown led by the Morgantown Historic Landmarks Commission. On Saturday, you have two workshop choices: Hands-on Historic Wooden Window Rehabilitation with PAWV's Field Services Representative Lynn Stasick, or a workshop on bringing investment to West Virginia with historic preservation economics expert, Donovan Rypkema.
American Institute of Certified Planners can earn 6.5 Certificate Maintenance credits during Rypkema's workshop.
We will finish the weekend with our annual Historic Preservation Awards Banquet on Saturday evening. The event will be held at the Historic Hotel Morgan, and Rypkema will join us again for a keynote speech. You can reserve a table for you and your friends at the banquet and receive free entry to the Saturday workshop of your choice for up to 8 people!
