"Dine Out" Fundraiser for the Architectural Heritage Center

Enjoy a “Dine Out” fundraiser for the AHC at the Central Hotel Restaurant and Bar located in the historic St. Johns neighborhood on Tuesday, August 13, from 6 – 10 pm.
Owners Risa (a former board member) and Brent Davis, and Kevin White, who are in the process of a $7 million dollar rehabilitation of the 108-year old building, invite you to dine and drink and they will generously donate 10% of the proceeds to support AHC education and advocacy. Opened in 1904, the Central Hotel was the gem of St. Johns.
However, two floors were removed in 1939 and the building became a neighborhood eyesore over the years. Today, Risa and Brent, who also live in St. Johns, and Kevin, are in the process of bringing the historic hostelry back to its original glory. Plans include replacement of the two missing floors and the development of a 36-room boutique hotel.
The renovated restaurant and bar is open for business and serving delicious entrees with prices ranging from $6.00 to $12.00. During the event, Risa will provide more details about the renovation project and the owners’ hopes to spur economic development in the St. Johns neighborhood. Bring friends, family, and colleagues!
