National Alliance of Preservation Commissions One-Day Training Workshop

The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions (NAPC) is offering a one-day training workshop from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, at the 2013 National Preservation Conference in Indianapolis, IN.
The cost is $90, and full conference registration is not required.
Whether you are currently a Certified Local Government (CLG) community or not, training is essential for commission and review board members and staff. From those both new and eager to learn, to experienced veterans and anyone needing a refresher course, this in-depth workshop will give you the proper tools to do your job better. Topics will include legal issues, design review, procedures, using standards and guidelines, survey and designation, planning, and ethics.

The National Alliance of Preservation Commissions is the only national nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting local historic preservation commissions and the historic resources they help protect. A major component of NAPC’s mission is to provide educational and training programs to the dedicated volunteers who serve on local historic preservation commissions, and to municipal staff. |
