ABOUT T. THOMAS FORTUNE
Timothy Thomas Fortune was a nationally known critic of the rise of Jim Crow and the failure of reconstruction in the wake of the Civil War.  Fortune edited and published three Afro American (a term he popularized) newspapers with a national circulation during his career.

T. Thomas Fortune was virtually unparalleled in his time for his agitation, education,
and organization over a span of roughly 50 years (1880-1928). He used his newspaper to organize the first convention of the Afro-American League, considered to be a precursor to the NAACP. At his passing, he was eulogized as the Dean of Black Journalism and his work remains highly relevant today.

If you can't attend, consider an ad in our program. (see below)

SPONSORSHIP
Early Sponsorship Opportunity Available

The T. Thomas Fortune House is currently privately owned. We expect that the purchase and the rehabilitation of the house (it has deteriorated during a 6-year vacancy) could be as much as $2 million. While this is a big number, we know that Fortune's place in history is even bigger.

Be a Part of Making History Present- join Preservation Red Bank in early sponsorship of the preservation process!

Purchase ad space in the Program for our first community event.

Be Creative with Your Message to Fortune House supporters. $10- one line, $25- business card, $60- 1/8th page, $150- ΒΌ page, $350- half-page, $800 full-page. Ad copy due by September 30 (pick-up available).  Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
