Open Day at Hinkle-Garton Farmstead

Persimmons and Pumpkins at the Farmstead
Bloomington Restorations, Inc. invites you to the monthly opening of the Hinkle-Garton Farmstead on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 1-4 p.m.
We’ll celebrate fall with goodies to sample made with locally harvested persimmons and visitors can carve a pumpkin in time for Halloween. Pickles from this summer’s garden will also be for sale, as will the last of this year’s pure maple syrup. And in time for fall planting, we’ll have daffodil bulbs and a selection of native plants. We also have persimmon seedling trees and hope to plant some during the open day (weather permitting).
The Farmstead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is the headquarters of Bloomington Restorations, Inc. It is free and open to the public and is located at 2920 E. Tenth Street in Bloomington. For more information call BRI at (812) 336-0909 or go to www.bloomingtonrestorations.org.
