Christmas Tours at Linden Place Mansion
December 5-29, 2013 |
Linden Place Museum, located in downtown Bristol, Rhode Island, is celebrating the holiday season with tours of the 200-year old Federal-style mansion throughout the month of December.
Feel like a personal guest of the Colt family as you stroll through the festively decorated mansion rooms complete with beautiful wreaths, illuminated mantles and evergreen swags. From the festooned four-story spiral staircase to the breathtaking ceiling-high Christmas tree in the gothic conservatory to the charm of the early 20th century butler’s pantry, surprises await visitors around every corner.
Inspiring and leading a team of volunteers and staff in transforming Linden Place is Daniel Wallace, a landscape architect from Newton, Massachusetts.
Linden Place Mansion and Museum Store, where you will find beautiful one-of-a-kind gifts, will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Dec 5th through Dec 29th. Admission during the holiday season is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 seniors and $ 6.00 for youths (6-17; children under 6 are admitted free).
