Preserving Stained Glass: A Presentation and Demonstration
February 22, 2014 |
Over the years of exposure and use, leaded and stained glass windows can show signs of suffering from material fatigue and breakage. For over 40 years Seattle Stained Glass has been working to restore these windows to their original appearance and prolong their life. Sometimes repairs are as simple as replacing individual panes of glass, and other times complete disassembly is required. Here's your chance to tour the fabrication studio with manager Justin Ivy and see examples of different kinds of damage and how they are fixed. To register, go to www.historicseattle.org.
