Preservation Worcester, 10 Cedar Street, Worcester
Free and open to the public
A pioneer in the use of a variety of new building materials in his day, Boyden encouraged a local potter, as early as the 1840s, to manufacture column capitals, window caps, and eave brackets of terra cotta – making that new Worcester company one of the country’s first manufacturers of architectural terra cotta. Reservations suggested but not required.
