2014 North Carolina Main Street Conference

March 31 - April 1, 2014
2014 North Carolina Main Street Conference
RESCHEDULED FROM JANUARY 29-31 DUE TO WEATHER.

Main Street has been the most successful downtown economic development strategy that North Carolina has ever seen. In 2013, Main Street investment figures passed the $2 billion mark, and new downtown jobs exceeded 19,000. Main Street communities across the state have many reasons to celebrate!

This year’s conference, Main Street: Two Billion Reasons to Celebrate, will explore downtown’s greatest success stories. Learn how communities are generating investment while creating downtown destinations. With a nod to the past and an eye to the future, conference sessions will explore how downtown investment has matured through the years. Innovative tools and funding programs are spurring investment; partnerships are leveraging time and volunteer resources; healthy environments and authentic promotion and branding are building market share; and a diversified business mix is creating jobs.

Downtown leaders—elected officials, board members, volunteers and downtown professionals and consultants—are invited to come together for North Carolina’s largest downtown revitalization conference to learn from one another, to network and share, and to celebrate the success of North Carolina’s downtowns.

Continuing education credits available.
