Spring Outing 2014 at The Hermitage

Over 100 years old and fresh as a daisy! Spring Outing at The Hermitage has a storied history that dates back to the early years of The Ladies' Hermitage Association when officers were elected to their posts on that day - the third Wednesday in May - at a picnic on the grounds, complete with decorated picnic baskets and lots of big hats. Over the years, board procedures have changed, along with social customs - and the event has changed, as well. But you can still find some gorgeous hats at Spring Outing! On Wednesday, May 21st, The Ladies' Hermitage Association (LHA) celebrates its time-honored tradition with a tented luncheon on the front lawn of the Hermitage mansion, with Karen Kingsbury as featured speaker. The event is chaired by Judith Bracken and Susan James and presented by Adams and Reese LLP.
