Preservation in Action in Prince George's County
June 7, 2014 |
How often have you traveled down the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and thought to yourself, "I really should take the time to visit Montpelier Mansion, Historic Greenbelt orRiversdale"? Those brown signs along the parkway are enticing, but you have yet to find the time for a visit.
Well, Saturday, June 7, you have the opportunity to join Preservation Maryland members and friends as we enjoy private tours at each of these sites, led by local experts. Our guides know these mansions and communities inside and out, and everyone on this trip will have a chance to see spaces and rooms that are not open to the public.
The focus of the day's conversations will include the recent restoration work at Montpelier Mansion, the always pressing preservation issues in Historic Greenbelt, and the ongoing roof work at Riversdale. For more information and to register for this fascinating field trip, click here!
If you have any questions about this field trip, please contact Margaret De Arcangelis by email or phone (410-685-2886 ext. 302). Space is limited, so register today!
