Growing in the Garden: Get to the Root of It
June 2, 2015 |
“Growing in the Garden” is a year-round hands-on art program for pre-schoolers and their caregivers, meeting twice a month at Macculloch Hall Historical Museum (MHHM). Each program includes a story, walk in the garden, and an art project. Programs take place the first and third Tuesday of each month, and two session times are available, 1:15 - 2pm and 3:45 - 4:30pm.
“Get to the Root of It” takes place on June 2nd. Come and enjoy the roses that are growing in the garden at MHHM and learn how they grow from the ground up. While in the garden, children will hear a story about the role of roots, examine root structures and participate in an art project.
Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Pre-register by phone at (973) 538-2404 ext. 16 or by email cwinslow@maccullochhall.org. The cost for each program is $12 per pair (child and caregiver) for non-members and $8 per pair for members. There is a $5 discount for prepaid registration for four sessions. During inclement weather the program meets indoors in the museum classroom. Please visit the Museum Facebook page for weather-related closings.
