The Clancy Legacy Celtic Christmas

December 18, 2015
The Clancy Legacy Celtic Christmas
Linden Place Mansion will cross the musical sea on Friday,
December 18th at 7:30 p.m. with The Clancy Legacy Celtic Christmas, a concert honoring both the holidays and winter solstice.

This concert is a celebration of the holiday season in the Clancy tradition!  The Clancy Legacy includes some of the next generation of performers descended from the Clancy Brothers of Ed Sullivan fame in the 1960’s. Rose Clancy on the fiddle and
Robbie O’Connell on guitar and vocals – together they create a delightful musical tapestry to celebrate the season.

In this fireside performance in the carriage house style ballroom, The Clancy Legacy will perform Celtic-flavored pieces, ranging from little-known Kilmore carols of Wexford to the Irish-American vaudeville stage. They will also explore both the Christian and Pagan traditions surrounding the winter solstice in a mix of songs and instrumental pieces.

Tickets are $20, $16 for Linden Place members and $12 for Colt Circle Members and should be reserved in advance by calling the museum at 401-253-0390.

DeWolf Tavern on the Bristol waterfront will offer a special pre-fixe menu for concert goers. Dine at this fantastic restaurant, recognized by Esquire as one of America’s best restaurants before enjoying the concert.  They will offer a special three course Prix Fixe dinner for $22.00 per person (for Linden Place concert-goers only!) including a glass of beer or wine.   With the concert, this is the perfect “Date Night” for
under $85 a couple! Please make reservations in advance and ask for a seating no later than 5:30pm to ensure arrival at Linden Place for the 7:30pm performance.  Diners should specify when they arrive that they are attending the Clancy concert and will be given the special menu.  For reservations, contact the DeWolf Tavern at 401-254-2005.

This concert is part of Linden Place Mansion’s month long holiday celebration and the historic house, decked for Christmas, and museum store will be open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. from Nov 27th through Jan 9th.  Admission during the holiday season is $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for students & seniors, $5 for children under 12. (Children under 6 are admitted free).
