201st Battle of New Orleans Anniversary

Celebrating the 201st anniversary of Jackson’s Victory over the British at New Orleans, The Hermitage will be commemorating the occasion with free admission for all visitors. A wreath-laying ceremony featuring the National Guard will be held at Jackson’s tomb at 11:00amLiving history programs featuring War of 1812 soldiers will be offered throughout the dayThe main theatre will also be running a movie marathon of films featuring Jackson and New OrleansAuthor David Plater will be hosting a talk and book-signing of his work The Butlers of Iberville Parish, Louisiana at 1:30pm
