It's Maple Syrup Season at the Farmstead
January 30, 2016 |
Come to the January Museum Open day to watch the tapping of the historic Sugar Maple trees and learn a bit about the sugaring process. Inside the 1892 main farmhouse, enjoy refreshments made with maple syrup and other seasonal produce, enjoy the music provided by members of Friday Musicale, and watch a quilting demonstration. And while there won’t be any syrup for purchase yet, there will be a selection of jams and jellies produced at the site. The Farmstead is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is owned and maintained by Bloomington Restorations, Inc.
