Preservation Thursday: Theodore Roosevelt
September 15, 2016 |
South Dakota Humanities Council Speaker's Bureau Scholar, Arch Ellwein, will present a program about Theodore Roosevelt's life, set in 1911. Theodore Roosevelt set the conservation agenda for generations of Americans. Roosevelt courageously stood against harsh criticism and powerful opposition to place 230,000,000 acres of land into the public trust. The public forum will be held at the Homestake Adams Research and Cultural Center (HARCC); 12:00 p.m.; admission by donation.
