The Lost Art of Craftsmanship Evening Lecture with Brent Hull

March 24, 2017
The Lost Art of Craftsmanship Evening Lecture with Brent Hull
Savannah Tech and the Massie Heritage Center are co-sponsoring an evening lecture and book signing with Hull from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 30 in the Massie Heritage Center’s historical classroom (207 E Gordon St.?Savannah, GA 31401). As the author of three books, Hull’s most recent is Building a Timeless House in an Instant Age, which helps builders and homeowners construct authentic and beautiful houses.

Brent will present on how we have lost the art of building.

The terms, “McMansion” and “cookie cutter”, are relatively new terms. They don’t apply to houses built before WW II. The key difference between houses of today vs. houses then, is craftsmanship. Come learn about the death of craftsmanship and how it is being reborn. Find out why craftsmanship is an important value for the well-being of our culture and our lives. This is free to the public.
