Architectural Styles of the Upper West Side Talk+Walk

Every building has a story to tell!The gorgeous Upper West Side is home to an assortment of historical styles, making it a favorite for home buyers, renters, visitors, and architecture fans.
We all love the Apthorp, the Beresford, the Belnord, and the Langham, but do you know which has Italian Renaissance style decorative elements? Which is Renaissance Revival or Beaux-Arts? Come learn--and earn 3.0 credit hours!
We will start in the classroom with a synopsis of key architectural styles and how these styles were interpreted and utilized in Manhattan's UWS. LW! experts will zero in on our beautiful pre-war houses and apartment buildings, helping you learn to recognize building elements and identify stylistic influences on nearly every block.
Then, it's out to the streets for a walking tour--your chance to put your new-found knowledge to the test!
