This tour of downtown Portland shares stories of Portlanders who made their mark as merchants and developers and their buildings. Learn about Willamette River's first bridge, our first public market, buildings from Italian inspired cast-iron and Richardsonian Romanesque to early 20th century. Hear about the city being in the forefront of downtown preservation efforts in the 1970s.
