LCPS Holiday Home Tour Dec 8, 2007

The Lower Columbia Preservation Society (LCPS) has scheduled its popular Holiday Home Tour on Saturday, December 8th, from 4:00p.m. -7:00p.m. Admission is $15 per person, including children over 8 years of age.
Tickets may be purchased until December 8th in the following areas: Astoria: Lucy’s Books, Victorian Lace, Riversea Gallery; Gearhart: Pacific Crest Cottage; Cannon Beach: Cannon Beach Historical Society. For additional information, call (503) 325-3981 or (503) 325-1410.
The Tour includes an 1896 Queen Anne Victorian in Uniontown; a 1937 Tudor-style previously owned by 3 Columbia River bar pilots; three Craftsman-style homes built in 1916, 1925, and a 1916 B & B designed by architect John Wicks; and an artfully restored 1923 commercial building, also designed by Wicks from the ruins of the building designed by another famous architect, Emil Schacht, before the 1922 fire. The Lower Columbia Preservation Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to “preserve, protect, and promote the historic architecture in the Lower Columbia region.”
