Come join costumed staff on December 21 & 22 at 6 pm, for a lantern lit walk along the historic 1830's Savannah Ogeechee Canal. Learn how the Canal operated during winter months and how the holiday season was celebrated over 150 years ago. The program will travel down the Canal Tow-path Trail and continue back up the old Jenckes Road Boardwalk Trail. The path will be lit with luminaries and torches to ensure safety. The distance is .5 miles in length and the program/walk is scheduled for 1 hours with cider, hot chocolate and marshmallows to follow. Not appropriate for ages 6 and under. Call for reservations. Admission for the program is $6 adults and $4 ages 12 and under. Half price for SOC Society members. NOTE: Weather permitting. Please dress according to weather and wear appropriate shoes.
