Rod Andrews, Jr., professor of history at Clemson University, discusses and signs copies of his biography of South Carolina militia commander Andrew Pickens. The book explores Pickens’ life as a general during the American Revolution, his moral conflict as a slave-holding planter, and his pursuit of a peaceful relationship between his country and southern Native American tribes.
