Sustainable Communities: How Healthy Is Your Region?

Join the AIA Regional and Urban Design Committee at its spring conference, Sustainable Communities: How Healthy Is Your Region? Examine current trends in regional planning and explore multilateral opportunities for regional planning and design among allied professionals.

Objectives:

  • Participate in a ten-year retrospective of Envision Utah and related grassroots regional planning initiatives across the United States, with an in-depth review of past, present, and future opportunities and constraints
  • Engage with industry leaders in the exploration of regional design issues and threats to quality of life, including air, water, food, housing, energy, and transportation
  • Share ideas and information in a collaborative setting that will help focus on how to work with community leaders to shape public policy that promotes and encourages sustainable, healthy, and livable communities and urban environments
