Our Community Prepares: Acts of Nature, Then and Now
October 17, 2019 - January 19, 2020 |
Los Altos History Museum, in partnership with The City of Los Altos, marks the
30th anniversary of the Loma Prieta earthquake with the opening of its exhibition, "Our Community Prepares: Acts of Nature, Then and Now," on display October
17 – January 19. The exhibition reflects on the stories of lives shaken by disasters in the area, and ways the community has worked together to prepare for natural disasters in the future. In a series of free workshops, families and individuals will learn how to protect themselves and their pets against earthquakes, wildfires, floods, and other acts of nature at home and work.
