Coffee and Conversations in the Carriage House – The Voyage of Nor’West John
March 4, 2022 |
Bristol resident DeWolf Fulton will share stories and images about the extraordinary voyage of Nor'west John D'Wolf who circumnavigated the globe by land and by sea. The total voyage took over four years and included a long trek over Siberia from the Aleutian Islands to Moscow and St. Petersburg. One fascinating tale is that of a whale – which ended up in Herman Melville’s book, Moby Dick. The presentation is about 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute Question and Answer period, and then time to enjoy community conversation. A delightful array of bakery items, coffee and tea will be provided by the expert caterers of Bristol’s Sunset Café. Attendees will also enjoy a taste of Alaska smoked salmon, and Russian “caviar”.
Tickets are $20 per person for non-members and free for Linden Place members.
