2008 CONFERENCE: "FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT AND THE ROOTS OF SUSTAINABILITY
September 18-21, 2008 |
The 2008 Conference of the Frank Lloyd Wright Building Conservancy will convene September 18-21 at the Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Champion, Pennsylvania. The beautiful resort is situated in Western Pennsylvania’s Laurel Highlands about one hour’s drive southeast of Pittsburgh. More importantly for our purposes, it is about 20 minutes from Fallingwater, a main attraction of the conference which also includes visits to Kentuck Knob, the rebuilt Duncan House, and other modern architecture.
The conference theme, “Frank Lloyd Wright and the Roots of Sustainability” will explore Wright’s life-long connection with nature and the relationship of his many innovative ideas to today’s worldwide interest with sustainable architectural principles. Papers are being sought for presentation under the following Call for Papers. |
