House of Worship Tour: Architectural Splendor - Built on Faith

The New Bedford Preservation Society presents its first House of Worship Tour: “Architectural Splendor - Built on Faith." The self-guided walking tour will step off from the Wamsutta Club, 427 County Street, New Bedford, MA, at 2 p.m., and will feature a vintage wedding gown exhibit at the Rotch-Jones-Duff House & Garden Museum and concerts at several magnificent County Street churches. The tour concludes at 5 p.m. with an old-fashioned ice cream social on the porch of the Wamsutta Club. Admission (payable at the door) is $20 with a $2 discount to NBPS members. A Silent Auction will be held at the Club & a pre-tour brunch ($15) will be offered there from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. |
