Extra! Extra! Hear all about it! The San Diego Union Tribune has been chronicling the happenings in San Diego since 1868 and the story of how it formed is in itself quite newsworthy! From its origins in Old Town, to its role in shaping New Town San Diego learn about the history of The San Diego Union Tribune.
Join us on Wednesday, July 20th at 7 pm for our next “History Talks!” Lecture! Our Historian Sandee Wilhoit and Visitor Services Coordinator Jamie Laird will delve into the whirlwind history of the beginnings of Journalism in early San Diego!
History Talks! is a monthly lecture series presented by the Gaslamp Museum at the Davis-Horton House. Each month a local historian or specialist will delve into topics related to San Diego and the Davis-Horton House to bring a unique glimpse into the history of our city. Come hear history come alive!
Lectures are free for GQHF Members, $5 for the general public.
