The 38th Annual Historic Homes Tour - Fort Collins, CO

September 17, 2022
The 38th Annual Historic Homes Tour - Fort Collins, CO

Poudre Landmarks Foundation’s annual Historic Homes Tour returns to in-person on Saturday, September 17, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This late-summer event opens five private residences and two historic city-owned properties to tour guests. This year’s tour is a Midcentury Modern extravaganza featuring five lovingly restored and decorated homes of the era, plus the city-owned 1879 Avery House and 1883 Water Works! The tour centers around the charming Midcentury Fort Collins neighborhood on Meeker Dr. and Buckeye, near the original Water Pik building. The neighborhood is south of E. Pitkin St. between Pitkin and Prospect. The Avery House is accessible from the Mountain Avenue trolley. Guests visit the homes and travel between tour properties at their own pace and in any order. Knowledgeable docents guide attendees through each location, pointing out architectural features, historical highlights, and details about how each home has been preserved and upgraded over the years.

Tickets
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 on tour day, with tickets available for purchase at several tour locations on the day. Advance tickets are available online now at poudrelandmarks.org and will be available at the following local outlets beginning Mid-August:

Ace Hardware of Fort Collins, 1001 E. Harmony Rd.
Downtown Ace Hardware, 215 S. College Ave.
The Cupboard, 152 S. College Ave.
Josephs' Hardware and Home Center, 2160 W. Drake Rd. A-5
Perennial Gardener/Sense of Place, 154 N. College Ave.

Present your receipt for your online ticket at the Avery House or the Meeker Dr. PLF tent the day of the event to receive your Historic Homes Tour Ticket Booklet and entry to the tour sites.

Proceeds from the events support the nonprofit Poudre Landmarks Foundation’s mission to preserve, restore, protect, and interpret the architectural and cultural heritage of the Fort Collins area.
