Winter/Spring 2023 Studio Registration

Winter/Spring 2023 Studio Registration

Goshen Theater’s Winter/Spring 2023 Studio registrations are open!

Classes begin on January 9th, and run through March 31st. Join us for weekly Acting, Dance, and Vocal Studio classes for students ages 8-18 years old.

Don’t miss your chance to join in on the fun, registration closes on January 4th!

Classes

Acting Studio 1, 2, & 3 - Monologue/Scene Study 

(January 9th - February 13th; Showcase Night February 18th)

Students will receive a monologue or scene in which they will spend five weeks learning how to bring their characters to life based on the given circumstances of a script. Students will choose from provided materials, workshop, memorize, and perform their monologues or scenes for family and friends on February 18th at 7PM.

Mondays
4:30PM-6:00PM Acting Studio One (Ages 8-10 years)
6:00PM-7:30PM Acting Studio Two (Ages 11-14 years)
7:30PM-9:00PM Acting Studio Three (Ages 15-18 years)

Acting Studio 1, 2, & 3 - Improv/Devised Theater

(February 20th - March 27th; Showcase on April 1st)

Students will collaborate with their peers through improvisation to create a story to be turned into a script. After helping to create their story, students will audition for what role they will play for the final showcase. All students will workshop, memorize, and perform their short plays for family and friends on April 1st at 7PM.

Vocal Studio 

(January 10th - March 28th; Showcase on April 1st)

Want to learn the basics of vocal health and control? Want to work on your music reading skills? Want to sing some great music with your peers? Vocal Studio is the class for you! This class is open to ages 8-14 years. Students will workshop, memorize, and at the end of their twelve weeks, perform their musical pieces for family and friends on April 1st at 7PM!

We are offering a limited number of Private Lessons to students 14 years old and up, on a first come-first served basis. This is for the student who is ready for the next step in building and workshopping their repertoire with the guidance of a one-on-one vocal coach.

4:45PM-5:45PM Voice Studio (Ages 8-14 years)
6:00PM-6:30PM Private Voice Lesson (Ages 14 years and up)
6:30-7:00PM Private Voice Lesson (Ages 14 years and up)

Dance Studio

(January 13th - March 31st; Showcase on April 1st)

Calling all future Musical Theater stars! Come learn the in-depth terminology and skills of Jazz and Tap to prepare for the Musical Theatre industry! Jazz skills will include a variety of sub-genres from Technical Jazz, Jazz Funk, Fosse, Modern Jazz, and Pop! We will focus on their flexibility, technique, stamina, and retention.

Their Tap skills will include a variety of sub-genres from Technical Tap, Soft Shoe, Rhythm Tap, Swing Tap, and Musical Tap! We will focus on their ankle articulation, rhythm, sound quality, and retention! Students will need clothes that are easy to move in and not restrictive! Come prepare your dancing skills for whatever path you choose to take! At the end of their twelve weeks, students will share their hard work with friends and family on April 1st at 7PM!

***Open to splitting up age groups, and adding more sections depending on registration numbers!***
