12th Annual Park City Utah Historic Home Tour
June 14, 2008 |
This year's tour features over a dozen houses on Daly Avenue and Upper Main Street.
This neighborhood was last featured on the 2001 tour. This area was settled early in Park City’s history as it provided easy access to the mines located in Empire Canyon. The largest extant collection of hall-parlor and t-cottage houses in Park City will be on display, as well as several unique boarding houses.
The Historic Home Tour is our largest annual fundraiser. To meet the growing needs of the community, the major renovation and expansion of the Park City Museum has begun, transforming our organization into a remarkable regional history center. The Park City Historical Society & Museum continues to support quality history programs. More than 75,000 locals and tourists visited the museum on Main Street last year. Our second grade history program, "Life of a Miner and his Family," takes place at McPolin, Jeremy Ranch, Trailside, and Parley's Park classrooms. Additionally, the museum has a number of outreach programs at different apartment complexes throughout the city. Our collection of over 24,000 historic photographs continues to prove popular with interior designers and local business advertising.
Date: Saturday June 14 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM; rain or shine
Pricing: Tickets are $17.00 if ordered in advance, and $20.00 on the day of the tour. |
