Architectural Legacy Walking Tours

December 30, 2023

On Saturday, December 30th, Pasadena Heritage invites you and your holiday guests to take walking tours featuring some of Pasadena’s unique architectural treasures! Attendees have the opportunity to participate in two different walking tours, each with a 10:00 AM or 1:00 PM start time! Please note, walking tours will last at least 2 hours. To accommodate for interior stops on the Historic Churches of Pasadena Walking Tour, please allow for up to 2.5 hours.

Hillcrest Neighborhood Walking Tour
Discover one of Pasadena’s most beautiful neighborhoods with the Hillcrest Walking Tour, which takes you by many grand homes in a variety of architectural styles. The Oak Knoll subdivision, of which Hillcrest is part, was intended to rival the wealthy neighborhoods of Orange Grove and the “West Side” (San Rafael and Linda Vista), so many of the estate-size lots were intended for custom home development. Showcased on the tour are numerous mansions along with large Craftsman homes such as the Freeman House designed by architects Arthur and Alfred Heineman and the Culbertson House and Blacker House both designed by Charles and Henry Greene.

Historic Churches of Pasadena Walking Tour - INTERIOR STOPS ADDED
Explore the Playhouse District and tour some of the city's most architecturally significant churches during the Historic Churches of Pasadena Walking Tour. We will visit a variety of historic churches, each with its own unique architectural style and rich history. Our experienced docents will lead you on a guided walking tour, filled with a wealth of architectural details and holiday decorations to enjoy. Guests on this walking tour will tour the inside of the First United Methodist Church as well as All Saints Church!

Saturday, December 30th | Tours Leaving at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM
Tickets: $22 members | $25 nonmembers
