Once again HWF brings our 5K run through the historic downtown district. Starting at the Railroad Museum/Best Western at Water and Red Cross streets, we offer a challenging road course through the beautiful downtown. A pizza party with beer, race medals and prizes ends your race. The race fee includes the party, 5K Tshirt, water bottle, koozie - as well as support for the organization that saves historic buildings and keeps Wilmington's heritage intact!

The Historic Wilmington Foundation is a non-profit organization that focuses its efforts towards preserving the architectural heritage of the Lower Cape Fear region. Since its formation in 1966, the Historic Wilmington Foundation has successfully saved hundreds of historic properties from demolition. Our mission is to continue promoting historic preservation in the community through educational programs, advocacy, exhibits, community involvement and revolving fund activities.Proceeds from the 5K Run enable us to continue our programs.
