Making use of oral histories from residents of the historic tenement buildings, personal memoirs, and archival research, the Tenement Museum will examine a century of material to uncover a vibrant and visible Queer community while tracing the unique connection between our neighborhood and the growth of Queer culture and identity in New York City and beyond.
