The Gilded Age Wine and Dine Experience

February 13, 2025

LENOX, MA. – This enchanting affair, a collaboration between Ventfort Hall, Dare Bottleshop & Provisions, and After Hours GB, invites you to step into the splendor of the Gilded Age.

Relish a decadent four-course meal designed by Chef Kevin Kelly, each dish paired with a Bordeaux and wine sampling experience provided by Dare Bottle Shop. A nod to the Gilded Age’s love affair with Bordeaux wines and dry champagne, every sip and bite captures the timeless romance and refined tastes of the era.

This event has a suggested formal dress code to enhance the ambience of the event.

About
Established in 2021, Dare Bottleshop & Provisions is a family-owned business located at 11 Housatonic Street in Lenox, Massachusetts, in the heart of Berkshire County.

After Hours is the next generation of dining. We are changing the way we think about dining through collaboration of community. Operating as a restaurant without a home, we work with local businesses in unique ways to create mutually beneficial relationships by hosting creative dining experiences."

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated by the Massachusetts Cultural Council as an important partner of the Lenox Cultural District, one of the five such Berkshire County districts, Ventfort Hall Gilded Age Mansion and Museum was built in 1893 for George and Sarah Morgan, the sister of legendary financier J. Pierpont Morgan.

Self-guided tours of the historic mansion are offered daily, as well as Tea & Talks, such exhibitions as the Bellefontaine Collection, concerts, theater, ghost tours and hunts as well as other programs. This elegant Jacobean-Revival Berkshire “cottage” is open to the public year-round and is available for private rental.  Ventfort Hall, also an Official Project of Save America’s Treasures program sponsored by The White House, has undergone substantial restoration, which continues.
