MLK Jr. Day at the Museum of Historic Annapolis

January 19, 2026

Celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Museum of Historic Annapolis as we share our community’s diverse history and the continuing quest for equity and justice for all. Explore Annapolis: An American Story and enjoy special activities:

Take our NEW tour, Race and Rights Guided Tour of the Museum, offered at 11:30 am and 2 pm (advance registration recommended)

This 50-minute guided tour, led by historian Briayna Cuffie, highlights the powerful contributions of African American community leaders in shaping the city’s history. Explore their impact on local life, landmark court cases, and pivotal legislation that advanced civil rights in Annapolis and beyond.

Learn about local Black history throughout our exhibition Annapolis: An American Story

Make your own Freedom Bell craft

Take a break in our Anne Arundel County Public Library Book Nook with a curated selection of children’s books about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Advanced registration recommended, but not required. All activities are included with Museum admission.
