"The fundamental tool of preservation planning"
Since the first US Historic Structures Report (HSR) in 1935, architects, planners, and historic site owners have been creating HSRs to establish a preservation inventory and secure funding for vital preservation and rehabilitation. But what role might the HSR also have for recent buildings? Are we all creating HSR’s the same way? And what updates are required to keep the NPS HSR Preservation Brief relevant to practice?
Join HRC at Taliesin West in February 2019, as we do a deep dive into the history of the HSR, it’s format and its potential role with assessing existing buildings.
