How Should We Then Live? The Groffdale Mennonites of Yates County

May 3, 2019
How Should We Then Live? The Groffdale Mennonites of Yates County
Please join the Yates County History Center for the opening reception for their groundbreaking exhibit about the Mennonites of Yates County at 5 p.m. on Friday May 3rd at the L. Caroline Underwood Museum, 107 Chapel Street, Penn Yan.  45 years after the first family migrated from Ephrata, Pennsylvania, the exhibit explains the customs of these deeply religious people.  Extraordinary images of this beautiful Finger Lakes county and its unique citizens create a stirring exhibit promoting understanding and brotherly love.

At 7 p.m. on May 3, Mr. Ivan Martin, Mennonite community spokesperson will speak about his Church and its members across the street at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.  The lecture tickets are $8.00 for History Center members and $12 for non-members.
