"Behind the Bottle: The Rise of Wine on Long Island"

On Thursday, September 19th , the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will host author Eileen Duffy who will present " Behind the Bottle: The Rise of Wine on Long Island", telling the story of how Long Island became a world class wine growing region from scratch and the lives of the winemakers who came from states and countries to unlock Long Island's potential. Sparkling cider will be served. This program is from 7-9 pm, Islip Public Library, 71 Monell Ave., and is free and open to the public; refreshments.
