In the run-up to September's Iconic Houses online event, Pioneers of the Dutch Modern House, we introduce leading authorities on architecture in the Netherlands. For the conference, they will present the video series about the Dutch reinvention of the house in the 20th century. These films will complement the live streamed keynote lectures on the same themes.
The thematic videos feature 20 Iconic Houses in the Netherlands. The modules can be joined live online by all architecture lovers, owners of modern homes, architects, preservationists and house museum professionals on the five Thursdays in September: 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 September. Later, the package of recorded lectures together with the videos can be purchased through our webshop to watch on demand.
The benefit of bringing our conference online is that we can visit more houses now than we could have covered physically – 20 in total, spread all over the Netherlands! Also, it’s much easier to attend – the modules are never longer than 90 minutes, and with one a week you can plan your schedule around them. You can also watch modules later, at a time that suits you. Finally, of course, it costs far less to take part because there are no physical tours and no travel and accommodation costs.
