Grant Mudge: Playing With Shakespeare

September 26, 2021
Grant Mudge: Playing With Shakespeare
Returning to the Goshen Theater with a new solo show is actor, producing artistic director, and Elizabethan raconteur Grant Mudge.Part performance, part engaging talk / discussion, Mudge’s offering this year is a riff on Shakespeare’s comedies, with A Midsummer Night’s Dream highlighted. From the outright Clowns to the blustery Capitanos, Mudge pairs some of Shakespeare’s most recognizable comedic roles with some overlooked gems that rarely see stage time.Part of a series with the Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, for which Mudge is the Ryan Family Producing Artistic Director, his show is ideal for the uninitiated and aficionado alike.Audiences may wish to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream at NDSF August 12-29, 2021 (nightly except Mondays) to get all the inside jokes.
