2022 Warren Co. Historical Society Trail of History Challenge II

May 30 - September 5, 2022
2022 Warren Co. Historical Society Trail of History Challenge II

ABOUT THE EVENT:
Family-friendly scavenger hunt to 12 different Warren County historic locations that can be done at your own pace, happening now through Labor Day 2022.

HOW IT WORKS:
Register at the Warren County Historical Society, 210 4th Ave., Warren, during open hours (Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-4:30PM).

Cost is $10 per family or group. Includes decal, mug provided by Whirley-DrinkWorks, clue packet, instructions, and lots and lots of fun!

Follow the clues to the locations and answer the question that can be found once you reach the location.

Submit your answers to the Warren County Historical Society by 4PM on Friday, September 9, 2022, to be entered into the prize drawing.

Make sure to enjoy and explore the sites along the way and once you reach the destination!

ADDITIONAL INFO:
This is the second year for the Trail of History Challenge. Last year got such great feedback that we opted to bring it back with ALL NEW locations, clues, and fun!

This is a family-friendly, summer-long event that will open your eyes to the enchantment that surrounds. Follow the clues to a variety of locations throughout Warren County specifically chosen for their historic impact and for your chance to win a Warren County-themed prize basket.

From the rolling hills and rippling waterways to the notable structures and historic tales, Warren County history ranges from rich local folklore to important worldwide significance. There’s no denying Warren County is beautiful. When you live here, it’s easy to take that for granted. You are invited to bask in its splendor as you take part in the Trail of History Challenge: Exploring Warren County through Historic Sites.

Historical hints will lead you to panoramic views, historic buildings, now-overgrown areas that were once integral businesses and some businesses that have been continuous for over a century, all of which played important roles in history. Can you find the settlement founded upon a tragic story? The cemetery that gives final rest to the forgotten? An historic oil boom? Warren County has many hidden treasures.

Donations for this event have been made by Whirley-DrinkWorks and the Warren County Visitors Bureau.
