The History of the Long Island Railroad

On Wed., May 24th, the Historical Society of Islip Hamlet will
host David Morrison, retired LIRR branch manager and author of books on the
history of the railroad. Please join us
to hear stories about the railroad that shaped Long Island history for over 150
years, focusing on the Montauk Branch and the Islip Station. The program will be held at the Islip Public
