The Trolley #93 Restoration Project

April 11, 2023 |
The Warren County Historical Society is
pleased to host a program, “The Trolley #93 Restoration Project,” at the Warren
County Courthouse, 204 Fourth Avenue, Warren, PA on April 11, 2023, at 6:00 PM.
Bob Johnston of the Jamestown Street Railway Company will present the history
of one of the eight original electric streetcars, Trolley #93, and its journey
toward restoration and preservation for the benefit of future generations. In
1926, the Jamestown Street Railway purchased eight new St. Louis Car Company
trolley cars. Numbered 91-98, they serviced the Willard Street and
North-Newland lines.
Join us for this interesting look back at
the transformation of transportation in our area. The program starts with a
brief introduction to the history of street cars/trolley cars in Chautauqua
County, including the Warren and Jamestown Street Railway. This program is free
and open to the public.
