Celebrate, recognize and remember the enslaved men, women and children of Poplar Forest. Join the Poplar Forest African American Advisory Group, interpretation and archaeology staff, and the Board of Directors at Roots and Reconnection, a day dedicated to honoring the members of the enslaved community, their talents, their role at the plantation and their perseverance to survive. The free, family-oriented event features musical performances, historic interpreters, book talks and more on the grounds of Poplar Forest. Enjoy a catered lunch for $5 per person.
