Our partners at the Historic Tax Credit Coalition are once again organizing their annual Historic Tax Credit (HTC) Lobby Day on Wednesday, June 12th in Washington, D.C. The lobby day coincides with the IPED Historic Tax Credit Summit (June 13-14) when many from the HTC industry will be in town. The HTC Coalition will set up meetings, provide educational materials, and host a mid-morning breakfast briefing on June 12th before afternoon Hill visits. This year the Coalition will also host a Congressional Reception that same evening from 5-7pm on Capitol Hill.
With numerous expired tax incentives, or incentives set to expire in 2025, momentum is building toward a large tax bill in 2025. Though much will depend on the political landscape after the election, 2025 is likely our opportunity to bring much-needed improvements to the HTC. All HTC advocates (historic rehab, preservation, main street, economic development) are encouraged to participate. If your House member is on the tax writing committee, or you live in the following states, you are HIGHLY encouraged to attend: AL, AR, FL, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA , ME, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, TN, OH, OK, TX, UT, SC, SD, WI, WV, WY.
If you are interested in attending, please email Michael Phillips at NTCIC to confirm your attendance and to learn more.
