Sept. 15 (r.d.: 9/22) The Historical Society of Islip Hamlet presents its 4th Cemetery Tour hosted by the Oakwood Cemetery Assoc.  The Tour features famous and infamous characters from Islip's bygone days.

The Tour combines historically accurate accounts of interesting characters, dressed in historical costumes: a sailing legend, grave robbers, a cold case killer, a cartoon voice artist and more!  Wear comfortable shoes as this is a 2 hour walking tour (2-4 pm).  Tickets are available starting now on Eventbrite at isliphamlethistory.org, or in person starting 8/1/24 at Caroline's Flower Shoppe and are $20/person.  For more info on the tour, membership to the society or upcoming programs: www.isliphamlethistory.org, 631-559-2915.  Join us and walk back in time and explore our past.
