Ten Years After: The Songs Continue – A One Time Only Evening Presenting the Songbook of Bob Weir & Rob Wasserman
For the first time, Grateful Guitars Foundation (GGF) and Music Heals International (MHI) are teaming up for a co-benefit, June 25, at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley for an evening featuring acclaimed musicians performing songs from the Weir/Wasserman catalog on their original instruments. The performance is a singular occasion: it will not be repeated.
The partnership between GGF and MHI is not incidental. Grateful Guitars Foundation focuses its work domestically, securing world-class instruments for talented young players and supporting music education programs across the United States. Music Heals International extends that mission globally, working in Haiti, India, and Venezuela to bring music to children facing poverty and trauma. Together, the two organizations represent complementary halves of a shared conviction: that music is transformative, and that access to it should not be determined by circumstance. “Music Heals International was born from a deep belief in the power of music to transform lives—a belief I inherited from my father. Partnering with Grateful Guitars Foundation allows us to carry that legacy forward, placing instruments with history and soul into the hands of the next generation, where healing, creativity, and connection begin.” as MHI founder Sara Wasserman shares.
