Alabama’s first Seaside Bed and Breakfast Inn

Located on the tranquil shores of the Gulf of America in Orange Beach, Alabama.

Alabama’s first Seaside Bed and Breakfast Inn, has received a small part of the Charm, Romance and Simplicity that drew people to the beach decades ago.  As one of the first houses built in 1924 by two Mobile, AL business men, Spurgeon Roche and Carl “Zeke” Martin, the house and the beach utilizes the first letters of their name “ROMAR.” The Inn features over 100 year old doors from New Orleans on each guest room and turned sideways as wainscoting on the downstairs hall.  Historical stained glass windows, each with a unique story, antique brass fixtures and hand picked furniture carefully chosen from the period of when the house was built decorate the entire interior.  The original picnic table built at the home in 1926, by Mr. Roche and his architect friend, stand in the kitchen today.
