Linda Garner’s
mission is preservation through real estate, to preserve our historic
properties with the assurance that each property she represents finds an owner
who has an appreciation for stewardship.
Linda A. Garner,
Realtor and Preservationist. Atlantic Shores, Sotheby’s International Realty,
Licensed in Maryland and California. Ms. Garner has been involved in historic
preservation for over 30 years in both Pennsylvania and Southern California,
and including real estate for over 17 years. Her long-time interest includes
Mid-Century Modern, Historic Designated Real Estate, and institutional
architecture by well-known architects who shape our cities. Ms. Garner has sat
on several boards and partnered with historic organizations throughout local
communities that take on preservation projects. She was past Historic
Commissioner, City of Pomona, California, as the mayor’s appointee and worked
to help preserve Pomona, Los Angeles and San Bernardino Counties historic
properties through real estate. She has also co-authored numerous ordinances
and guidelines to help keep historic properties from purposefully being
neglected or demolished. Included in her
preservation portfolio is Highland Hall, Hollidaysburg, PA where she played a
significant role in subverting demolition of this important institution.
Currently Ms.
Garner lives in Maryland where she is now involved in preservation through real
estate throughout the Eastern Shore. This area is steeped in the richness of
our founding fathers, and those who shaped our maritime history.
Ms. Garner's
clientele is those who wish to purchase or sale historic and unique properties,
and/or nationally designated historic homes. She is well versed on historic
ordinances in California and Maryland, and Secretary of Interior’s historic
guidelines, which help guide her clients to the understanding of the
responsibility of becoming the next stewards of these unique and magnificent
